Original Creation

Last night I could not fall asleep due to this idea of making  an over sized clutch from floral fabric I had.
I decided to get up and make it.

I used a floral upholstery fabric for the body.
The inside is lined with turquoise silk.
I sewed in a Velcro clasp.

The fabric is very good sturdy quality.

Girly Girl

I wore the bag I made out of Hello Kitty Duck tape today.
(See previous post for bag)
Simple Gold chain strap.

I added my hello kitty earrings after taking these photos.
The earrings and bag are the perfect way to wear hello kitty with simplicity.
I'm such a girl!

Going Green

Something fun I put together to wear to class.
Green and shades of brown work together.
The chunky skirt is great when paired with a fitted shirt cinched with a belt.
Lace up boots are the perfect style for this sort of outfit.

Boots:DSW
Shirt:Pac Sun

Hello- Kitty!

I made this little bag from Hello Kitty Duck Tape.
It was super easy and fun!
I added a long gold chain I had from an old necklace and taped it to the inside of the bag.
If you guys are interested in one let me know.
They can be made with any design, color, shape and size!

Water color Illustration

My latest Illustration assignment was to create a fashion illustration inspired by an illustrators style you like.

I knew I wanted to do something with water colors since I haven't used them for illustrations before. I like the looseness watercolors give an illustration.

This is not how I usually do my illustrations so it was nice to get out of my comfort zone.
This illustration style is inspired by Esther Bayer whom I found online.

Art Deco

Miami is known for a rich history in Art Deco.
This style lives on today in classic parts of Miami Such as Miami Beach.

Art Deco; noun-

a style of decorative art developed originally in
the 1920s with a revival in the 1960s, marked chiefly by geometric motifs, curvilinear forms, sharply defined outlines, often bold colors, and the use of synthetic materials, as plastics.

My school had a fashion design competition where students made and designed a garment inspired by the classic looks of art deco.
They presented their work during Art Deco weekends second annual fashion show.
I was asked to model for the show on Ocean Drive and had so much fun! I wore a fellow students work. She is very talented.

Rosie the Riveter

Just a photo shoot I did for fun.
Inspired by Rosie the Riveter and the 40's 50's era.
I got this idea from a DIY post on outsapop.com
