Farm Girl

I know I haven't posted anything new for a while but I am trying to start blogging again.
I finished up my 6th quarter in school and made the following garments for my final.

I was inspired by 1920's 1930's American or European Farm Women.
The hood was made of lace and inspired by head scarves the women wore.
The exaggerated pockets were made by hand, I cut different squares of fabrics to get the quilting affect.

Cash

I Love Johnny Cash as a musician, Lyricist, and Man.

His story is just as interesting as his music
His songs tell the story of his journey and each song changes and grows as he did.
I am especially a fan of the songs he produced in his later years. Tales of redemption, giving himself to god, and reflecting on his past.

The Look:
Classic American
True Grit Influence
The dirty south
1930's Farm
Modern Day cowboy
Country
Rock
Soul

These are a few of my own illustrations/designs, I did inspired by him and his music.
