Midnight Ballet

I hand painted a canvas bag with ballet slippers on one side

and on the other side I painted a large bow.

I added Studs along the trim and tied a ribbon around the handles.

This was for a final design project where my inspiration came from the elements of rock and ballet.

My collection is shown in the water color illustration I made, below.

Mod Chic

Its Geometric!

I used a basic bodice pattern I made in school my first quarter, for this shirt.

Two front darts. I didn't put back darts because I plan on adding a back zipper and I wanted to have enough room. 

I felt that the basic silhouette of the pattern and the geometric print fabric was very 60's mod.

Bow

As you may know I love cheetah print!

I am making a wool jacket for school with this cheetah print lining. 

I had some left over so I used the scraps and made a bow. 

This is something easy to do with any fabric. 

You can either sew two pieces of square fabric together, pinch it in the middle and bind it

OR

Cut a long rectangular piece of fabric, tie it around your head in a bow like a headband, and then puff out the bow by pulling on both sides.

All American

Classic casual look.

I paired a body con striped skirt with a navy tank, and threw on my jean jacket.

I styled it with my coach purse which I love.

The design is very unique and comfortable. I love the long strap

it really adds something to a basic outfit. 

Sort of an all american outfit fitting for the recent memorial day!

Modeling Shoot

Thought I would give you guys and update since I've been slacking on my posts.

I plan on doing another outfit post this week but in the meantime,

here is a collage of some modeling shots I did this weekend. 

I needed some new ones to showcase myself to clients. 

I think they came out pretty good.

The way I edited them is just for fun, I would show clients the originals. 

Dali

I am a huge fan of Salvador Dali as an artist and as a person. 

I fell in love with his story and his art years ago. 

I took a classic photo of him and printed it onto transfer paper.

I then  ironed it onto a canvas bag.

Added braided straps.

And embellished it with two flowers similar to the ones in the photo.
