New sewing Project. Hand Made Bandeau Top

 I finally finished making the Bandeau top that I designed a few months ago! I used a turquoise, dangle sparkle fabric and lined it with nude spandex material. This is a great summer piece based off of the 50's/60's trend.

 The back features a bra hook close.

 I did not make the shorts; only the top.

Spring Break In Italy

I have decided to make a post to showcase some of my photography on my trip to Italy.

I was fortunate enough to go on a family trip to Venice and Rome this spring during spring break. I brought my camera and took plenty of photos. I have picked out some of my favorites. Feel free to give me feedback.

Hello Sailor!

 These are the shorts I bought from Marshall's over a week ago. Here is how I chose to style them:

Cute dark denim shorts with mock cuff and gold button.

Paired with a blue and white, striped V-neck , Shirt.

I wore the shirt tucked into the shorts.

I would wear white/wicker wedges with this outfit. Or white sandals if you wanted a toned- down version.

Printed Silk Dress

I wore the dress I bought from Marshalls a few days ago and here is how I styled it.

I Paired this dress with silver bangles and silver earrings from forever 21

I wore tan flats with  bows on the top

Fashion at a great price

I went to Ross and Marshalls the other day and found a few cute things for Summer.

I will no longer be shopping at the mall! I love these stores for their great deals and unique, varied clothing. You never know what you will find. Here are the few things I bought and I will style them in a later post.

Edgar Allan Poe Inspired shorts and top( Made and Designed by me)

These garments are inspired by one of my favorite poets- Edgar Allan Poe.

Of course the shorts are related to his poem "The Raven." and the top also gives off the mood throughout his poems. The shorts are high waisted and have a mock cuff at the bottom. They are made from cotton raven printed fabric. The top is completely made of black lace and is cinched in the bust area with an elastic band holding the top. I wouldn't necessarily style these two together like this but you get the point.

1930's Inspired Jacket( made and designed by me)

I designed and made this jacket and dress about 6 months ago.

It was inspired by the floral prints and colors of the 30's.

Of course this is my modern interpretation of the 1930's trends. But I incorporated the 30's looks with the  bolero jacket, accentuated shoulders, floral printed fabric and the teal coloring of both garments. The Jacket has a mock cuff for sleeves and is fully lined with teal silky fabric. The tube  dress is made of teal jersey material, and is cinched at the sides and between the bust area.
