I know I haven't posted anything new for a while but I am trying to start blogging again.
I finished up my 6th quarter in school and made the following garments for my final.
I was inspired by 1920's 1930's American or European Farm Women.
The hood was made of lace and inspired by head scarves the women wore.
The exaggerated pockets were made by hand, I cut different squares of fabrics to get the quilting affect.

It is great to see you back in the blogosphere, Mackenzie. I hope your studies are going well. This dress you've created is quite nice. I think it would be very cool to wear for the Spring and Summer times. Some casual sandals or some nice wedge espadrilles would do this dress just fine.
